We are on day 3 of our vacation in beautiful Aruba. On Sunday we happened upon a windsurfing tournament that turned into a sunset party.  Yesterday we explored the California Lighthouse and Baby Beach.  We're about to embark on a catamaran snorkel tour and tomorrow morning we dive 2 shipwrecks! Having a blast so far. More pics soon.

#3 son prepares to hit the lake Memorial Day weekend 2009.  Yes, he is wearing 2 different colored Crocks.

It seems like this year has flown by so fast.  Its amazing to me that we are already in June.  Most of the country probably can't wait for this year to end.  And I kind of agree.  But at the same time my little ones keep growing like well watered weeds and I would hate to miss a second of that.  My youngest, shown here, is becoming such a great little man.  He wants to be like his big brothers so badly.  I find it fascinating to see him carefully watching them and mimicking them, the way our middle son did (and still does) with his older brother.  If only we could all find someone who we admire, and who is successful, and copy their movements to recreate such success...all the while further developing our own personality.

There is a great trail that goes around Grapevine Lake behind our house to some horse farms and Meadowmere Park. I take the kids hiking or on golf cart rides back there when their mom needs a break from the chaos.  It looks really cool back there when the leaves are falling.  I love this time of year!

We have a tradition of attending the State Fair of Texas in Dallas on opening day each year with some family friends. By far the best day to go. Next best is the Oklahoma and Texas game held during the Fair each year at the Cotton Bowl since 1929.

Both days give you a unique look at Fair Park, which is a National Historic Landmark, and boasts the largest collection of art deco exposition buildings in the United States.
